Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). lee kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter the Dragon. The crowd seem to be enjoying Parks's choice of entrance music: I'm Awesome by Spose. Bruce lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks tries to clinch up.
lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Parks tries to close the distance and clinch up but lee swats him away and circles back towards the center.
lee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Parks tries to escape but lee is in control.
Parks is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Parks, who protects the arm well.
Parks is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Parks tries to escape but lee is in control.
lee is trying to get an arm triangle but Parks is defending well.
lee working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
lee thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

You can see the frustration on Parks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Parks wants to get back to his feet.
Parks explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parks paws at him with a jab and circles away.
lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Parks.
lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Parks counters by moving into the clinch.
Parks working aggressively here.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Parks just misses with a elbow thrown towards lee's brow.
lee is trying to drag Parks to the mat but Parks just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Parks stops a takedown attempt from lee.

lee tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Parks just stands there and leans against the cage.
Parks lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Bruce lee has been cut.
Parks tries to land a knee to the head but lee blocks with his arms.
lee is trying to force a seperation but Parks has the dominant position.
Parks scores a nice knee to the body.
Parks misses with a knee to the head.
Parks connects with a nasty looking knee right to lee's face.
Parks looks gassed!
lee is trying to break free.
Knees in the clinch landing for Parks.
Parks with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Parks is pressed up against the cage. lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Parks down to the mat. Parks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
lee misses with a takedown
and Parks counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Parks scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Parks tries to clinch but lee moves out of range.
Parks tries to clinch up but lee circles away and keeps his distance.
Parks moves in looking to clinch but lee pushes him off.
lee shoots in for a takedown but Parks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Parks fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with lee, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

A nice left hand lands by Parks.
lee can't get the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
lee tries to score a body lock takedown but Parks shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Parks with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Parks using the Thai plumb to throw knees but lee has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Parks lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Parks is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
lee blocks an elbow strike from Parks.
Parks lands with a left to the head.
lee jumps guard but Parks stands there with lee around his waist. lee gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
lee pulls guard successfully.
Parks wanted to stand there but lee had control of the position.
Parks is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but lee has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Parks is looking to defend but lee has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Parks! lee pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Parks taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bruce lee!
