Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Rumina Endo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Duex!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duex fails in his attempt to clinch.
Endo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Duex is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Duex tries to close the distance and clinch but Endo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Endo circles away from the clinch attempt.
Endo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Endo tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Duex counters with a head kick that drops Endo to the mat! Endo scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Duex lands a big head kick that sends Endo tumbling to the mat! Duex takes a step backwards and waves Endo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Endo is rocked!
Duex clinches with his opponent.
Oh Endo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Endo fails to pull guard.
Duex putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Endo in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Duex is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Duex has Endo pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Endo is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Duex - that's hurt Endo badly! Oh, another knee lands and Endo is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Endo doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Frank Duex!
