Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eustass Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Rockwell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eustass Kid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Simon Rockwell!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kid closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rockwell to the mat! Rockwell manages to get full guard.
Kid won't allow Rockwell to sweep him here.

Rockwell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kid seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kid tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rockwell swivels and escapes.
Rockwell leaves Kid with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kid closes the distance and clinches up with Rockwell, looking for a takedown. Kid pushes Rockwell against the cage but Rockwell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eustass Kid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kid keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Rockwell.

and Rockwell counters with a nice double leg into guard.

and Rockwell counters with a single leg into guard. Kid didn't expect that.

Kid's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

and Rockwell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rockwell jumps guard and drags Kid to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Rockwell shoots in and drives through. Kid sprawls well.

Rockwell is trying to maintain the position but Kid is very close to passing his half guard.
Rockwell is looking for a sweep. Kid is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Still in half guard, Kid seems content to control.

Rockwell wants to control but Kid is having none of it.

Kid tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kid seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rockwell for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rockwell shoots for a takedown but Kid saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The referee asks Kid politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kid prefers to stall for the moment though.

Kid prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kid jumps guard but Rockwell stands there with Kid around his waist. Kid gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kid tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rockwell smiles and moves away.

and Rockwell counters with a shoot takedown. Kid fights it but they end up in guard.
Kid has Rockwell pulled in close to control his posture.

Rockwell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rockwell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kid swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kid has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown but Kid shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rockwell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kid.
Rockwell has a takedown stuffed.
Eustass Kid is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Kid shoots in and bounces Rockwell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kid throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rockwell works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rockwell is keeping the position for now.
Rockwell tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rockwell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kid's guard.
Kid is pulling down on Rockwell's head. It's preventing any offense from Rockwell, at least for the moment.

Kid is working an open guard so Rockwell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Rockwell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kid to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Simon Rockwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rockwell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
