Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin VanDam!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
VanDam closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
VanDam is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jones is trying to control the position but VanDam postures up.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
VanDamis looking to pass into half guard but Jones pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jones is in guard.
VanDam avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as VanDam works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

VanDam working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

VanDam is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
VanDam working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones.
Jones loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jones got a little sloppy there for a moment and VanDam has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jones has managed to get both his arms back between VanDam's legs - danger averted.
VanDam looks gassed!
Jones is working VanDam over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of VanDam's head.

VanDam is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jones rolls with it to try and escape but VanDam cranks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
