Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenny Scylla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Dragon!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Dragon catches Scylla right on the button with a cross.
Scylla slips a jab and a cross from Dragon.
Dragon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Scylla dodges the punch combination from Dragon.
Dragon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dragon throws a series of punches but Scylla moves out of range.
Dragon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dragon misses with the combination.
Dragon jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck for Scylla with that takedown attempt.
Scylla is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Scylla takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Scylla swats away the attempt to clinch by Dragon.
Dragon fails to land with a series of punches.
Dragon fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dragon tries to bum rush Scylla with a series of wild strikes but Scylla uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Scylla shoots in but Dragon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Scylla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dragon.
Scylla staying out of range there.
Scylla takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dragon misses the jab.
The fighters circling - Dragon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dragon tries to clinch there but Scylla circles away.

Scylla closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Scylla wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dragon, who protects the arm well.
Dragon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scylla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dragon is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Scylla is controlling him well.
Scylla wants to control but Dragon is keeping him busy.

Scylla has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Dragon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Scylla yanks on the arm and Dragon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Scylla.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kenny Scylla!
