The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gulag pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gulag.
Gulag buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gulag throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chavez on the side of the head.

Chavez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gulag misses with a head kick.
Chavez looks for the body kick but Gulag saw that one coming.
Gulag lands with a slapping head kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chavez checks a leg kick.
Chavez misses with a series of wild punches.
Gulag throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Chavez's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gulag feints and then cracks Chavez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chavez down.

Gulag scores with a kick to the midsection.
Chavez looks gassed!
Gulag lands a front kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gulag lands a jab.
Gulag throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gulag.
A head kick misses from Gulag.
Gulag knocks Chavez to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
It looks like Emilo Chavez has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chavez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A lull in the action here.
Gulag decides to stand back up. Gulag steps back and let's Chavez get back to his feet.
Chavez throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chavez misses with the body kick
and Gulag counters with a low kick, right behind Chavez 's knee.
Chavez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gulag connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Chavez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Chavez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gulag.
Chavez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gulag pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gulag. Chavez shrugs it off though.
Chavez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Chavez walks into a left hand.
Gulag tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circle, before Gulag throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Chavez's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Gulag lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
