Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Frankelstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francisco Frankelstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Micheal Hall!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall closes the distance and clinches up with Frankelstein, looking for a takedown. Hall pushes Frankelstein against the cage but Frankelstein circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Frankelstein misses with a double jab.
Frankelstein misses with a head kick.
Frankelstein misses with a looping right.
Frankelstein throws a combination. Hall tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Frankelstein looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hall shoots for a double leg takedown but Frankelstein sprawls well. He's pushed Hall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hall tries for a takedown but Frankelstein sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Francisco Frankelstein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Hall.
Hall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Frankelstein throws out the jab.

Hall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Frankelstein's guard.
Frankelstein wants to stand up but Hall is controlling him.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hall slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hall is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frankelstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Frankelstein on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Frankelstein tries to get out of the position.

Hall working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Frankelstein is pushing Hall's head away, looking to escape. Hall manages to hold on to the position though.
Hall postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Frankelstein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hall on the ground.
Frankelstein is breathing heavily.

Hall tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hall tries to move to mount but Frankelstein blocks the move with his legs.
Hall tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Frankelstein prevents Hall from moving into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Frankelstein tests Hall's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Frankelstein throws a push kick but Hall slaps the foot to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Francisco Frankelstein will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Hall changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Frankelstein looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hall swings around for an armbar but Frankelstein sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hall's guard.

Frankelstein stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hall avoids a punch combination nicely.

Francisco Frankelstein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hall slips a jab and a cross from Frankelstein.
Hall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Frankelstein moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Frankelstein thuds his right hand into Hall's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Micheal Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Frankelstein leaves Hall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hall takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Francisco Frankelstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frankelstein is looking to land body kicks.
Frankelstein scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

and Hall counters with a shoot takedown. Frankelstein fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hall goes for an armbar but Frankelstein turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Frankelstein.

Hall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Frankelstein is aware though and is defending well.
Frankelstein wanted to stand there but Hall had control of the position.
Hall striking off his back but it's not causing Frankelstein any problems.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hall wants to sweep but no luck.
Frankelstein wants to stand but Hall is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hall looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hall is trying to keep Frankelstein in close.
Hall lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Frankelstein!

Hall throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Hall sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Hall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hall throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Frankelstein because Hall loaded up on that one.

Hall swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
