Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Zizzmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Reign in Blood by Slayer as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Zizzmen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Angus Khan! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zizzmen throws a good cross that connects.
Zizzmen lands with an uppercut that bounces Khan off the cage and back into rage. Zizzmen clobbers Khan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Khan lands a nice shot to the body.
Khan tries to clinch up but Zizzmen circles away and keeps his distance. Zizzmen is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Khan. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zizzmen throws a series of punches but Khan moves out of range. Khan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zizzmen throws out the jab. Khan dips to his left and cracks Zizzmen with an uppercut! Khan tries to clinch up. Joey Zizzmen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zizzmen checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Zizzmen cracks Khan with an open hand slap. Zizzmen takes a swing at Khan's ribcage but misses. Khan drops Zizzmen with a left and a right! Oh, Zizzmen is hurt - Khan dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Joey Zizzmen has been cut. Khan in side control, just content to control the action for now. Zizzmen wants to control but Khan postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan trying to control the action but Zizzmen is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zizzmen parries the strikes from Khan easily there. Khan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zizzmen to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Khan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Khan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zizzmen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Khan struggling a bit here. Khan tries to bench press Zizzmen off him but Zizzmen keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zizzmen throws a shot to the body.
Khan misses with a double jab
and Zizzmen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Zizzmen misses with an uppercut. Khan saw that one coming. Khan misses with a hook. Khan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Zizzmen looks to land a left hand but Khan moved out of range nicely. Khan tries to clinch up and Zizzmen counters with a stiff right hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zizzmen works over Khan's head and body with a nice combination. Khan seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Zizzmen shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Khan is backing up but Zizzmen catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Khan covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Zizzmen Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Zizzmen!
