Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolas Burdeshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolas Burdeshaw! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burdeshaw throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Burdeshaw wants to clinch up but Cooper keeps it at a distance. Cooper scores a takedown into full mount! Cooper is going olschool here, as he tries to force Burdeshaw to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Burdeshaw shrugs it off. Cooper looking for a guillotine from mount but Burdeshaw is having none of it. Cooper with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Cooper is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Burdeshaw has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cooper working for a guillotine from mount but Burdeshaw is in no mood to give up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper goes for an armbar but Burdeshaw turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Burdeshaw. Cooper is trying to control the position but Burdeshaw postures up. Burdeshaw trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cooper looking for a guillotine here but Burdeshaw defends easily.
Burdeshaw must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cooper is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooper is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burdeshaw defends well. Burdeshaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cooper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burdeshaw has managed to get both his arms back between Cooper's legs - danger averted. Cooper throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cooper is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cooper throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Burdeshaw escapes and throws Cooper's legs to the side, diving into side control! Cooper tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Burdeshaw tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Cooper is trying to improve his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Burdeshaw connects with a right hand. Cooper shakes it off. Cooper takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cooper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burdeshaw tries to avoid it but Cooper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burdeshaw to the ground. Burdeshaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cooper is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Burdeshaw. Burdeshaw swinging wilding here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Justin Cooper will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Burdeshaw scores with a jab to the jaw. Cooper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burdeshaw circles away. Burdeshaw ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away. Burdeshaw tries to clinch but Cooper moves out of range. Burdeshaw scores with a jab. Cooper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Burdeshaw sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cooper looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Justin Cooper. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burdeshaw has his takedown stuffed and Cooper counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Cooper content to control rather than advance. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cooper lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper prevents Burdeshaw from standing back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cooper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cooper in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Burdeshaw tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cooper!
