The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BROWN shoots in for a takedown but Render shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Render keeps BROWN at a distance using the push kick.
BROWN throws a sloppy head kick and Render moves out of range easily.
Render tries to land a front kick but BROWN steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
BROWN shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Render but Render pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Render lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and BROWN has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from BROWN and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Render bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Render throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. BROWN was covering up waiting for the punch and Render finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Render feints and as BROWN raises his hands in defense, Render changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Render gets to his feet - BROWN follows without any prompting.
BROWN shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Render pinned against the cage. Render gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Render thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on BROWN if he has to take too many more of those.

Render feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
