Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Pewterschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borden Chantry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewterschmidt's entrance music is 7 Words. A fine choice. Chantry has chosen RATM - Killing in the Name Of as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Pewterschmidt! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Borden Chantry! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pewterschmidt throws a shot to the body.
Pewterschmidt closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Borden Chantry has been cut. Chantry takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chantry keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Chantry tries to work over Pewterschmidt's front leg with a kick but Pewterschmidt checks it. Chantry takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pewterschmidt swats away the attempt to clinch by Chantry. Pewterschmidt shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chantry is trying to defend but Pewterschmidt finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Chantry is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pewterschmidt pulls his head out easily. Chantry looks gassed! Pewterschmidt trying to control from half guard but Chantry is working away. Pewterschmidt seems to be working for a kimura but Chantry defends the submission attempt. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pewterschmidt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chantry is just riding it out for now. Pewterschmidt eventually gives up the hold. Pewterschmidt working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pewterschmidt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pewterschmidt is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chantry sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Chantry wants to get back to his feet.
Pewterschmidt passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Chantry! Chantry is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pewterschmidt wants to control the pace but Chantry is squirming around nicely. Pewterschmidt working the ground and pound effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt wants to control but instead Chantry manages to regain half guard. Chantry manages to get to full guard.
Pewterschmidt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Chantry wants to stand up but Pewterschmidt is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt trying to control the position from guard on top but Chantry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pewterschmidt advances position into side control! Chantry is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pewterschmidt off and has taken his back! Chantry struggling to land strikes to the head as Pewterschmidt covers up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chantry is trying to stick to Pewterschmidt's back but Pewterschmidt is turning into Chantry. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Chantry's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pewterschmidt. Pewterschmidt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Chantry tries to buck Pewterschmidt off but Pewterschmidt is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carter Pewterschmidt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Borden Chantry's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Chantry throws a left and a right that both miss
and Pewterschmidt counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Chantry is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pewterschmidt scores with a couple of nice shots. Pewterschmidt is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ground and pound from Pewterschmidt. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pewterschmidt is pressing down on Chantry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chantry is holding on for now. Chantry is staying active underneath Pewterschmidt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chantry won't allow Pewterschmidt to pass to mount. Pewterschmidt is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Chantry has managed to free his arm - good work. Chantry is looking for a sweep. Pewterschmidt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pewterschmidt is trying to control the action in half guard but Chantry is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chantry misses with a looping right. Chantry with a lazy takedown attempt letting Pewterschmidt counter with a right hand. Pewterschmidt scores with a hook to the body. Chantry takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Chantry is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt lands with a nice body punch. Pewterschmidt avoids the head kick by Chantry.
Chantry tries for a takedown but Pewterschmidt circles away easily and Pewterschmidt counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Chantry wants to stand but Pewterschmidt is controlling the position. Chantry keeping moving, preventing Pewterschmidt from controlling successfully. Chantry trying to keep a closed guard but Pewterschmidt is proving a slippery customer.
Pewterschmidt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chantry working for a triangle but Pewterschmidt defends it easily.
Pewterschmidt passes Chantry's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pewterschmidt works his way into full mount! Pewterschmidt looking to finish Chantry with some ground and pound. This is bad for Chantry!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pewterschmidt working Chantry over with strikes here. Chantry is in all sorts of trouble here.

Chantry is rocked! Chantry misses with a double jab
and Pewterschmidt counters with a left and a right... And another left! Chantry is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
