Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Brighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brighton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brighton, right into the meat.
Brighton throws a lazy right hand but Wonka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Brighton throws a right hand that Wonka ducks under and follows up with a left that Wonka also avoids with ease.
Nick Brighton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brighton throws a looping overhand right but Wonka ducks down to avoid it.

Brighton misses with a straight left.
Brighton looks to land a body kick but Wonka moved away.
Brighton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wonka manages to avoid it.

Brighton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Wonka.

It looks like Willie Wonka has been cut.
Brighton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wonka.

Brighton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wonka moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Brighton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brighton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wonka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Brighton controls Wonka momentarily but Wonka frees himself.
Wonka drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brighton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brighton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brighton!

That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Brighton will probably get the nod.

Brighton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wonka.

Brighton jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Wonka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wonka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brighton is looking to take a break and control but Wonka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Wonka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brighton takes a swing at Wonka's ribcage but misses.

It looks like Nick Brighton has been cut.

Wonka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brighton to the mat! Brighton manages to get full guard.

Nick Brighton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wonka is going olschool here, as he tries to force Brighton to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brighton shrugs it off.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wonka is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Wonka content just to control the position here.
Wonka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brighton can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Willie Wonka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wonka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
