Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deano Brawvo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brawvo has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music. Deano Brawvo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilke takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brawvo tries to clinch there but Lilke circles away.
Brawvo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lilke stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Brawvo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lilke avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Brawvo.
Lilke is staying active underneath Brawvo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lilke is positioning himself well to prevent Brawvo advancing to mount.
Brawvo throwing shots but Lilke is blocking nicely.

Brawvo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brawvo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lilke looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Brawvo tries to bench press Lilke off him but Lilke keeps the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lilke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brawvo keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brawvo is looking to get back to full guard here but Lilke has managed to pass to side control instead.
Brawvo can't escape the position.
Brawvo is trying to escape the mount but Lilke keeps good control and instead manages to take Brawvo's back.

Brawvo breaks Lilke's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Brawvo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lilke is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brawvo, into his guard.

and Lilke counters with a shoot takedown. Brawvo fights it but they end up in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Brawvo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lilke counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Lilke moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Brawvo.
You can see the frustration on Brawvo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Brawvo tries to improve his position but Lilke has taken his back! Lilke has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Brawvo tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lilke pushes Brawvo away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
