Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timo Silakka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ican Pumbleski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pumbleski has chosen STAIND as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ican Pumbleski!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silakka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pumbleski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silakka somewhat.
Pumbleski keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Pumbleski does no damage.
Pumbleski scores with a jab.


It looks like Timo Silakka has been cut.

Pumbleski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Silakka is looking to improve his position but Pumbleski isn't that keen on the idea.
Silakka takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Pumbleski stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silakka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Pumbleski counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silakka!

Pumbleski jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silakka is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silakka and Pumbleski has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Pumbleski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silakka has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pumbleski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silakka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Silakka manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pumbleski's best efforts.

Pumbleski is looking for a kimura but Silakka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pumbleski to get the leverage.

Silakka wants to improve his position but Pumbleski is controlling well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pumbleski wants to pass the guard but Silakka is keeping the position.

Pumbleski drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pumbleski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silakka looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Pumbleski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Silakka has his foot on Pumbleski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pumbleski works his way back into a safe position though.

Pumbleski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silakka looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silakka looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silakka!

Silakka thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silakka tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silakka has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pumbleski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silakka pulls his head out easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silakka is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Pumbleski has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Silakka will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pumbleski is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pumbleski lands a head shot.
Pumbleski throws a shot from downtown. Silakka moves away and avoids it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silakka.
Silakka tries for a takedown but Pumbleski circles away easily
enabling Pumbleski to counter with a crisp jab.
Nice defenses there by Silakka.

Pumbleski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silakka tries to roll over but Pumbleski keeps him under control.

Pumbleski gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Pumbleski tries to clinch but Silakka is having none of it.

Pumbleski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pumbleski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silakka swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silakka working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pumbleski has passed into half guard!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pumbleski decides to stand up.

Silakka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Silakka fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timo Silakka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silakka avoids the body shot from Pumbleski.
Pumbleski throws a right and a left that both miss.
Some wild striking there from Pumbleski.
Silakka throws a right hand that Pumbleski ducks under and follows up with a left that Pumbleski also avoids with ease.

Silakka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Timo Silakka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pumbleski missing with a left hand there. Silakka was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silakka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pumbleski swivels and escapes.
Silakka takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Pumbleski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pumbleski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pumbleski moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Silakka has worked his arm free - good work by Silakka!

Silakka gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Silakka has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Pumbleski. Oh but Silakka has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Pumbleski goes limp - he's gone! Silakka jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Timo Silakka!
