Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Koch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reino Kovis!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Koch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kovis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Koch trying to control the action but Kovis is working from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kovis wants to control but Koch postures up.
Koch working the ground and pound but Kovis is defending the strikes.
Koch throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Kovis is looking for a sweep.
Koch works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Check out the look on Koch's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kovis tries to buck Koch off but Koch is having none of it.
Koch lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Kovis managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Koch.
Koch trying to control the action but Kovis is working from the bottom.
Kovis is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kovis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Koch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kovis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kovis is looking for a sweep. Koch is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kovis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Koch not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Kovis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Koch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Koch's back!

Kovis has got his arm under Koch's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Koch has spun round into Kovis's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Koch content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Koch postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Kovis covers up, he's hurt! Koch keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Koch and the ref steps in to end the fight! Koch can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Koch!
