The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
CANDITO is trying hard to land a takedown here. Potter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Potter gets the takedown into side control.
CANDITO takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Potter is trying to get an arm triangle but CANDITO is defending well.
Potter wants to lay and pray for a moment but CANDITO keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Potter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says CANDITO as he avoids it easily.
CANDITO really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Potter can do anything to dispel that myth.
Potter sneaks back into half guard.
CANDITO seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Potter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
CANDITO looks to land a strike but Potter avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Potter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Potter remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
