Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Meadows! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Trine! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trine tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Trine avoids a punch combination nicely.
A head kick misses from Trine. Trine avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Meadows throws a head kick that misses. Trine showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Meadows.
Meadows lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trine circles away quickly and effectively. Meadows scores with a one two! Trine had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Meadows misses with a wild combination.
Meadows throws a nice looking combination but Trine bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Meadows rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trine moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Trine avoids a punch combination nicely.
Trine tries to clinch there but Meadows circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trine looks to land a body kick but Meadows moved away. Trine tries to close the distance and clinch but Meadows swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Meadows misses with a few strikes there.
Meadows stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Trine gets the takedown into side control. A lull in the action here. Meadows on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meadows tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trine connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Meadows some visible discomfort.
Meadows knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trine on the ground. Trine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Meadows has escaped the position, nice work there. Meadows is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Trine scoring with punches and elbows. Trine moves into full mount! Meadows is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trine looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. BOOM! Trine connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Trine is working for a guillotine from mount but Meadows frees his head quite easily.

Meadows is breathing heavily. Trine can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meadows is looking to escape. Meadows squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Trine controlling the position easily from mount. Meadows trying desperately to get to his feet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trine working Meadows over with strikes here. Trine looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Meadows is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
Trine trying to control but he's not successful this time. Trine has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Meadows is bucking up trying to escape but Trine cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Meadows is squirming around, avoiding Trine's attempts to control the action. Meadows is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
Meadows defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Trine. Meadows wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trine controlling from the full mount. Meadows is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Trine works his way to his opponent's back.
Trine wants to control but Meadows is keeping busy. Trine lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Meadows hold on?!
Trine scores with punches and elbows. Trine looking to break Meadows's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Meadows remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Trine will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Trine tries to get the hooks in deep but Meadows pushed the leg off. Meadows is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Trine dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Meadows just misses with a punch to the body.
Meadows rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trine moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Good leg kick by Trine there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Trine slips a jab and a cross from Meadows.
Meadows misses with a few strikes there.
Trine cracks Meadows with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Meadows is rocked! Trine dances in with a quick combination. Meadows is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Trine snaps Meadows's head back. Meadows stumbles backwards against the ropes. Trine steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Meadows's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Meadows just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Michael Trine!
