Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuu Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Takeshi has chosen On The Dub-ble as his entrance music. Michael James looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuu Takeshi! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeshi is looking to clinch. Takeshi misses with an uppercut. Takeshi misses with a looping right. James shoots for a double leg takedown but Takeshi sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Donk. Takeshi catches James right on the button with a cross. James ducks under a wild hook from Takeshi. James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Takeshi throws a body punch but James moves out of range. Takeshi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Takeshi. That snapped James's head back.
James displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takeshi throws out the jab. Takeshi lands a jab to James's midsection. A jab lands there for Takeshi. Takeshi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Takeshi. Takeshi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. James moves out of range as Takeshi strikes. Takeshi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ryuu Takeshi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeshi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. James is breathing heavily. Nice uppercut lands for Takeshi. That snapped James's head back.
Takeshi throws a good cross that connects.
Takeshi lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Takeshi swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by James. Takeshi stuns James with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Takeshi moves into the clinch. Takeshi tries to circle away but James has him pinned against the ropes. Takeshi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Takeshi lands with a right hand. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Takeshi! James is out on his feet! Takeshi rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - James is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! James is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryuu Takeshi!
