Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miky Mora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Craun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Miky Mora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Craun!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Craun closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mora to the mat! Mora manages to get full guard.
Mora looking to control.

Mora pushes Craun off and gets back to his feet.
Craun fails with the takedown.
Matt Craun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Craun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Craun showed some decent athleticism there.
Mora trying to control but Craun postures up.

Craun is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mora defends it well.
Craun trying to control the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Craun prevents Mora from standing back up.

Craun with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Mora slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Craun sitting in guard here, content to control.
Mora is trying to keep Craun in close.
Craun is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Craun looks gassed!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Craun trying to control but Mora is working from the bottom.

Mora pushes Craun off and gets back to his feet.
Craun looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mora darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mora throwing shots but Craun is blocking nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Craun tries to get to full guard but Mora has control of the leg.
Craun is refusing to be controlled, as Mora sits in half guard.
Mora is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Craun is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Craun keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mora is keen to just control but Craun is a slippery customer.
Craun makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Craun.
Craun wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mora wants to get up but he can't break Craun's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Craun controlling the position.
Craun throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Craun looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Craun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mora. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mora wants to get up but he can't break Craun's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Craun dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Mora tries to clinch there but Craun circles away.
Mora displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Craun.

Craun misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Craun doesn't manage to clinch there - Mora circles away.

Craun fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mora will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mora.

and Mora counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mora wants to control from the top but Craun keeps moving.
Craun is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mora trying to control the position from guard on top but Craun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Craun has Mora pulled in close to control his posture.

Mora got a little sloppy there for a moment and Craun has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mora has managed to get both his arms back between Craun's legs - danger averted.
Craun wants to get back to his feet but Mora is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Craun controls Mora momentarily but Mora frees himself.

Mora stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mora dives in and grabs Craun's left leg, looking for a takedown. Craun pushes down on Mora's head and hops out.
Craun doesn't manage to clinch there - Mora circles away.

Craun shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mora manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Craun won't allow Mora to get back to his feet.
Mora looking for a sweep. Not yet Mora, not yet.
Mora controls Craun momentarily but Craun frees himself.
Craun sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Craun got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mora has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Craun has managed to get both his arms back between Mora's legs - danger averted.
Craun lands a couple of elbows.

Craun stands up from Mora's guard - Craun perhaps looking for a knockout.

Craun has managed to clinch.
Mora tries to break free but Craun pushes him back against the cage.

Craun pulls Mora into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Craun is adopting a defensive guard.
Mora wants to stand but Craun has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Craun looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Craun looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mora wanted to stand there but Craun had control of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Miky Mora will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Mora closes the distance but Craun moves to the side
and Craun counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Craun pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mora with a poor takedown

and Craun holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Craun drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mora pulls his leg out and moves away.

Craun shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Craun was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mora tries to hold on but Craun pushes him away.
Craun looking to control but Mora is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mora taking shots to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mora tries to hold on but Craun pushes him away.
Craun looking to control and managing it successfully.
Mora tries to lock up and control but Craun gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Craun takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Craun goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Mora is on top in guard.
Mora slips nicely into half guard.
Mora throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Craun controlling the position for now.
Craun is trying to maintain the position but Mora is very close to passing his half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Craun has his hands clasped together around Mora's back. He's all about the action.
Craun makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Craun.
Mora pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Craun is keeping the position for now.
Mora won't allow Craun to sweep him here.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Craun holds on and takes a little breather.
Mora wants to control from the top but Craun keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Craun has control of Mora's left arm, preventing Mora from doing any damage.
Mora stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Craun swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Craun working for a triangle but Mora defends it easily.
Craun is adopting a defensive guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Matt Craun comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Craun has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
