Blisner comes into the arena with Garth Brooks- Friends in Low Places blaring out of the sound system. Kernes has chosen Reign Supreme - Persevere And Overcome as his entrance music. Kirk Blisner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kirk Blisner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Kernes! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blisner throws a lazy right hand but Kernes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kernes tries to clinch there but Blisner circles away.
Kernes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kernes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kernes throws a sloppy head kick and Blisner moves out of range easily. Blisner throws a series of punches but Kernes avoids them all with ease. Kernes pushes Blisner up against the cage in a clinch. Kernes lands with a short head shot on the inside. Kernes misses with the head strike.
Blisner wants to break the clinch but can't.
Blisner blocks an uppercut.
Kernes misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kernes throws a punch but it's blocked by Blisner. Blisner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kernes's efforts to push away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blisner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kernes clinches up against the cage. Kernes doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kernes swings wildly with an uppercut but Blisner uses good head movement to avoid it. Blisner blocks an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kernes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blisner smiles and moves away.
Jay Kernes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kernes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kernes gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kernes jumps guard but Blisner stands there with Kernes around his waist. Kernes gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kernes struggles to land a body shot inside as Blisner controls his hands.
Blisner is trying to break the clinch but Kernes has him pressed against the cage. Blisner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kernes lands an elbow inside that Blisner shrugs off. Blisner is trying to force a seperation but Kernes has the dominant position. Kernes doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Blisner. Kernes working aggressively here.
Blisner breaks the clinch.
Blisner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blisner misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kernes throws a head kick but Blisner moves out of range.
Kernes misses with a wild combination.
Kernes fails in his attempt to clinch. Blisner throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kernes. Kernes scores with a hook to the body. Blisner takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Blisner tries to clinch and Kernes counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Blisner is breathing heavily. Kernes throws a nice head kick!
Blisner is rocked!
It looks like Kirk Blisner has been cut. Kernes lands with a big right hook that stumbles Blisner - he's out on his feet here! Kernes follows up with another monster hook that separates Blisner from consciousness! Blisner falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Kernes stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
