Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Thomas!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davis's waist but Davis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thomas off to one side.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davis lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Lee Thomas has been cut.
Thomas is looking to clinch.
Davis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Thomas's head.
Davis misses with the combination.
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet.
Davis throws a series of punches but Thomas avoids them all with ease.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Thomas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Davis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Thomas not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Thomas stalling away here and it's allowed Davis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Thomas controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas throws a strike but Davis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Thomas moves in looking to clinch but Davis pushes him off.

Thomas gets to his feet - Davis follows without any prompting.
Davis stalks Thomas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thomas's face. Thomas staggers backwards, shaken.
Davis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thomas swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Davis.

Thomas has managed to clinch.
Davis stalling in the clinch but Thomas improves position.
Davis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Thomas misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Davis is looking to control Thomas's arms but Thomas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Davis has his back to the cage.

Thomas manages to pull guard.
Davis tries to free his leg and advance position but Thomas is retaining full guard.
Thomas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Thomas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Davis defends well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Davis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lee Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I would just about give that final round to Lee Thomas.
