Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Drover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro checks a leg kick nicely. Drover tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A right-left combo lands from Drover.
It looks like Randy Castro has been cut. Castro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Drover fails in his attempt to clinch. Castro circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Drover tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Drover tries to clinch but Castro is having none of it. Drover shoots for a double leg takedown but Castro sprawls well. He's pushed Drover's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Castro shoots in and drives through. Drover sprawls well. Drover throws a head kick but Castro moves out of range.
Drover is looking to land body kicks. Castro fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Castro lands a head kick!
Drover shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Drover postures up.
Castro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Castro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drover is one step ahead there. Castro pushes Drover off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drover fails with the takedown and Castro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Drover. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drover is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Castro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Castro throws a big right hand that misses. Drover utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Castro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Castro won't allow Drover to sweep him here. Castro loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Castro wants to stand but Drover is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castro is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Castro thows a big elbow that misses.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Castro uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Drover. Castro scores a takedown into full mount! Castro is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Drover is surviving well by controlling Castro's body position as best he can. Castro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Castro looks gassed! Drover is in all sorts of trouble here.

Castro keeps the fight on the outside. Drover pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Castro shoots in for a takedown but Drover shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Drover wants to clinch and Castro counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Drover's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Castro preventing the sweep. Castro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Castro forces his way into half guard. Castro sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Drover defending well though. Castro missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Drover avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Castro. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Castro blocks the body kick.

Castro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drover as he jumps to the side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Castro. Adam Drover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Castro.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Castro misses with a jab, cross combination.
Drover tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castro swats him away and circles back towards the center. Drover scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Drover prevents Castro from improving his position. Drover is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Castro is just riding it out for now. Drover eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Castro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Randy Castro's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Drover gets the takedown into side control. Castro is trying to control Drover's posture but Drover avoids it. Randy Castro has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro tries to buck Drover off but Drover is having none of it. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Castro pushes Drover away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Drover gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Castro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Drover wants to control but Castro is keeping him busy. Castro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Castro has control of Drover's left arm, preventing Drover from doing any damage. Adam Drover has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Castro lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Drover! Castro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Drover tries to get back to half guard but can't. Castro is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Drover has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Drover! Drover working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drover trying to control the position from guard on top but Castro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Castro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Drover tries to free his leg and advance position but Castro is retaining full guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Castro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Castro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Drover preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Drover is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Castro defends well. Castro scoring with punches to the head and body. Castro is working Drover over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Drover manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Castro manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Castro looking for a sweep. Not yet Castro, not yet.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Drover showed his dominance in that final round. I think Castro has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
