Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Halme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Weeds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rich Weeds is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Halme! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rich Weeds! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weeds swinging wilding here.
Weeds closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Halme controls the position for a moment. Weeds stands up and we're back to a striking position. Weeds tries to close the distance and clinch but Halme swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Halme misses with a takedown attempt - Weeds sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Weeds fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice takedown defense from Weeds. No joy for Halme on that attempt. Halme circles away from the clinch attempt.
Weeds tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Halme paws at him with a jab and circles away. Weeds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Weeds tries to clinch up but Halme circles away and keeps his distance. Halme fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Halme. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weeds is looking to clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Halme. Weeds wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Halme wants to control but Weeds is keeping him busy. Halme could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Weeds is trying to get back to his feet. Halme wants to control but Weeds is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halme will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Weeds can't do much from the bottom here. Halme is trying to get an arm triangle but Weeds is defending well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Weeds looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Halme keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halme ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Weeds moves away. Weeds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Weeds is looking to clinch but Halme is avoiding it.
Halme keeps the fight on the outside. Halme scores a takedown into full mount! Halme is breathing heavily. Weeds is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Weeds bucks Halme off and manages to get back to his feet! Weeds gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Halme stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weeds swivels though and keeps the full guard. Weeds uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weeds gets caught flat footed, as Halme shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Halme is stalling in the full guard. Weeds escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Halme gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Weeds is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Halme is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Halme dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Halme circles away from the clinch attempt.
Weeds tries to clinch up. Weeds wants to clinch. Halme moves into the clinch. Halme gets a trip takedown into half guard. Weeds pushes Halme off and gets back to his feet. Rich Weeds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Weeds wants to clinch and Halme counters with a leg kick. Halme closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Halme works his foot free and advances to mount. Weeds in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weeds is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Halme looking to control but Weeds is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Weeds is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Weeds is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Weeds is in a horrible position here. Halme smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Weeds is in all sorts of trouble here.
Halme sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. BOOM! Halme connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Halme cracks Weeds with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halme looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Weeds is in a horrible position here. Halme smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Weeds really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Weeds tries to hold on but Halme postures up. A nice elbow there by Halme.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Halme takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Halme trying to control but he's not successful this time. Halme has hold of Weeds's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Weeds manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Halme looking to secure an arm triangle but Weeds defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Halme dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Weeds tries to clinch but Halme moves away and Halme counters with a body kick that stops Weeds in his tracks momentarily. Halme throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Halme misses with a double jab
and Weeds counters with a nice body shot. Halme lands a head kick!
It looks like Rich Weeds has been cut. Tony Halme is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Halme circles away from the clinch attempt and Halme counters with a one-two to the body. Weeds clinches but Halme breaks the clinch and Halme counters with a single leg into guard. Weeds didn't expect that. Weeds wants to stand up but Halme is controlling him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Halme trying to control the position from guard on top but Weeds is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Halme stops Weeds from standing up. Tony Halme overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Weeds is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Weeds closes the distance looking to clinch and Halme counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Halme closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Weeds wants to get back to full guard. Halme prevents Weeds from standing back up.
Halme seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Weeds is trying to stand up here but Halme is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Weeds wants to control but Halme is keeping busy and won't allow it. Weeds is looking for a sweep. Halme is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Halme fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Weeds wants to clinch but Halme slips to the side and Halme counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Weeds keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Halme trying to pass the guard but Weeds defending well. Weeds has one foot on Halme's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Weeds tries to keep at a distance but Halme has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Weeds is trying to maintain a safe position but Halme gets an underhook and turns Weeds into the cage. Halme jumps guard and drags Weeds to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Weeds trying to stand up but can't free himself from Halme's guard. Weeds wants to stand and escape but instead Halme has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Halme stops Weeds from standing up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Halme tries to stand but Weeds is controlling from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Tony Halme showed his dominance in that final round. Well Halme has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
