Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hanky Panky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Duke Cottingham!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Panky.
Cottingham has his takedown stuffed
and Panky counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cottingham throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Panky trying to control but Cottingham is working from the bottom.
Cottingham had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Panky is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Cottingham Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Panky's back instead.
Panky defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Panky manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cottingham's guard. Nice work there by Panky.

Cottingham has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Panky can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cottingham looks gassed!
Cottingham looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Panky passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Panky has hold of Cottingham's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Cottingham tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Panky cranks the arm and Cottingham screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Cottingham, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Hanky Panky!
