Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Drew Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slater is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Terminator Theme. Jack Slater has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drew Price! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Slater! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price blocks a jab. Price just misses with a punch to the body.
Slater misses with a straight left. Slater is looking to clinch. Price slips a jab and a cross from Slater.
Price bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Slater's head. Price swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Slater counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Price circles away from the clinch attempt.
Slater throws a left and a right that both miss
and Price counters with a single leg into guard. Slater didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Price accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Price trying to control but Slater is working from the bottom. Slater trying to control the position.
Price stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slater swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Price would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Slater is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Slater is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Slater darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Drew Price has been cut. Slater closes the distance looking to clinch and Price connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Slater throws out a powerful jab. Slater gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Price to score an easy takedown into full guard. Price drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Slater manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Price has Slater in his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slater wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slater is one step ahead there. Price might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Price is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Price wants to improve his position but instead Slater has moved into half guard.
Price manages to get to full guard.
Price has his foot on Slater's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slater works his way back into a safe position though.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Price looking for a guillotine here but Slater defends easily.

That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Price is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Price bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Slater's guard. Slater keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully. Price trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Slater is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Price is looking to work some ground and pound but Slater has wrist control. Price postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Slater is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Price, into his guard. Price working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Slater has passed into half guard!
Price is breathing heavily.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slater moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Price. Price is looking to reverse the position.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Price seems a little lost for a moment, as Slater dominates the positioning. Price is looking for a sweep. Slater tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Price manages to get back to half guard. Slater is trying to control the action in half guard but Price is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Drew Price showed his dominance in that final round. I think Price has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
