Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ian Saga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spas Vuchliski!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saga scores with a one two! Vuchliski had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The fight stays on the outside here - Vuchliski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vuchliski slips under a jab from Saga.
Vuchliski slips a jab and a cross from Saga.
Vuchliski gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Saga.
Saga throws a nice looking combination but Vuchliski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Saga lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Vuchliski throws a lazy right hand but Saga sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Vuchliski rushes Saga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Saga has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vuchliski avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Saga jumps into guard, dragging Vuchliski to the mat.
Vuchliski is stalling in the full guard.
Saga will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Saga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vuchliski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vuchliski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Vuchliski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saga has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vuchliski has managed to get both his arms back between Saga's legs - danger averted.
Vuchliski must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Saga has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vuchliski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Saga is looking for a triangle but Vuchliski pushes his legs off easily.

Vuchliski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Vuchliski gets to his feet. Saga looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Saga lands a jab to the nose.
Vuchliski takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Saga keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vuchliski takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A slapping body kick lands there for Saga.
Vuchliski looks gassed!
Saga slips under a jab.
Vuchliski throws a hook but Saga avoids it easily.
Jab, jab by Saga - just one landing.
Vuchliski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Saga lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Saga lands a nice shot that snaps Vuchliski's head back.
Saga lands a nice looking body kick.
Saga is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Vuchliski walks forward, straight into a front kick from Saga.

Saga connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Vuchliski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Saga lands with a nice combination. Vuchliski backs away looking to recover.
Vuchliski gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Saga lands a jab to the nose.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oooh a lovely combination from Saga sends Vuchliski down but not out. Saga dives into side control looking to finish.


Vuchliski is rocked!


It looks like Spas Vuchliski has been cut.

Saga working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Saga is working to tighten is grip on Vuchliski's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vuchliski has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Saga is really squeezing tight and eventually Vuchliski passes out! Saga breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Ian Saga!
