Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jurgen Patriarkki!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patriarkki shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Patriarkki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Villar is desperately trying to improve his position but Patriarkki has a good base and remains in mount.

Patriarkki swings around for an armbar but Villar sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Patriarkki's guard.
Patriarkki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Villar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patriarkki swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Patriarkki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Villar is controlling him.

Villar lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Patriarkki throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Villar has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Patriarkki finds it's way round the side to connect with Villar's head.

Villar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Patriarkki cracks Villar with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Patriarkki has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Villar to stand back up!

Let's hope that Patriarkki has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Patriarkki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Patriarkki lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Villar drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Patriarkki has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Patriarkki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Villar needs to keep his hands up - Patriarkki had a free shot at his head there.

Jurgen Patriarkki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Money Villar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patriarkki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Villar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Patriarkki wants to stand and escape but instead Villar has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Patriarkki is looking for a triangle here but Villar uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

You can see the frustration on Patriarkki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Villar in side control lands a decent elbow.
Patriarkki is trying to control Villar's posture but Villar avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Patriarkki is pushing Villar's head away, looking to escape. Villar manages to hold on to the position though.

Patriarkki might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Well Patriarkki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
