Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vijay Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diogo Rubin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Rubin has chosen MG as his entrance music. Diogo Rubin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vijay Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diogo Rubin! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Singh does no damage. Rubin misses with a straight right. Rubin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Singh's guard. Rubin is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. Rubin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rubin forces his way into half guard. Singh wants to improve his position but Rubin is controlling well.
Rubin is pressing down on Singh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Singh is holding on for now. Rubin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Singh on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Singh tries to get out of the position. Singh is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Singh throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Singh won't allow Rubin to pass to mount. Rubin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Singh! Rubin blocks Singh's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rubin with the ground and pound from mount. Singh wants to try and get back to his feet. Rubin dominating with strikes here. Singh throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. You get the feeling that Singh really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Rubin working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Singh turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Rubin off and cradles Singh's limp body as Rubin celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Diogo Rubin!
