Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lazaro Casanova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that David Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casanova fails to land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Casanova.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Casanova. Casanova gets slowly back to his feet.
Casanova throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Casanova finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Casanova gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Casanova shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Casanova was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Casanova stands up from mount. Strange move.
Casanova misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lazaro Casanova. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Casanova moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Casanova closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Casanova from controlling successfully.
Casanova is breathing heavily.
Jones wants to stand and escape but Casanova is having none of it.
Casanova gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Casanova counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Casanova lands a couple of elbows.
Casanova advances position into side control!
Casanova is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Casanova cracks Jones with a big right hand but Jones just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Casanova has hold of Jones's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jones tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Casanova cranks the arm and Jones screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jones, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Lazaro Casanova!
