Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lipidio Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Figueroa !
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Figueroa does no damage.
Figueroa takes a swing at Ribeiro's ribcage but misses.
Ribeiro throws a sloppy head kick and Figueroa moves out of range easily.
Ribeiro misses with a double jab.
Figueroa scores with a jab. Ribeiro acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Figueroa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Figueroa misses with a few strikes there.
Figueroa slips a jab and a cross from Ribeiro.
Ribeiro connects with a single shot there.
Ribeiro falls off balance throwing a combination
and Figueroa counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ribeiro is trying to stand.
Figueroa is pressing down on Ribeiro's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ribeiro is holding on for now.
Ribeiro is staying active underneath Figueroa , who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Figueroa trying to pass the guard but Ribeiro defending well.
Figueroa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ribeiro is not content to let Figueroa control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Figueroa just misses with a punch to the body.
Figueroa misses with a straight right.
Figueroa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ribeiro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Figueroa somewhat.
Figueroa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Figueroa looks gassed!
Ribeiro throws a series of punches but Figueroa moves out of range.
Ribeiro throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Ribeiro lands with a big left! Figueroa is wobbled badly! Ribeiro comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Figueroa to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lipidio Ribeiro!
