The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregor throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Gregor closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Gregor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Valencia misses with a head kick.
Gregor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gregor scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Valencia slaps away a takedown attempt from Gregor, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gregor throws a sloppy head kick and Valencia moves out of range easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Valencia is working an open guard so Gregor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gregor.
Gregor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gregor tries to bum rush Valencia with a series of wild strikes but Valencia uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gregor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Valencia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Valencia chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gregor can pounce on him.

Valencia throws a nice looking combination but Gregor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gregor throws a leg kick which misses Valencia's front leg but catches the back leg as Valencia tries to avoid it.

Gregor shoots in looking for a takedown. Valencia tries to sprawl out of it but Gregor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Valencia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gregor dives in and grabs Valencia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valencia pushes down on Gregor's head and hops out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gregor lands a head kick. Valencia smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

The fighters circle momentarily. Valencia darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Valencia leaves Gregor with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Gregor counters with a shoot takedown. Valencia fights it but they end up in guard.
Valencia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gregor's guard.
Gregor wants to stand and escape but Valencia is having none of it.
