Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihyro Uno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Rogain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshihyro Uno looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshihyro Uno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Rogain!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Rogain wants to pass the guard but Uno is keeping the position.
Rogain trying to control the position from guard on top but Uno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rogain preventing the sweep.
Uno bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rogain's guard.

Rogain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rogain looking for a guillotine here but Uno defends easily.
Rogain is pulling down on Uno's head. It's preventing any offense from Uno, at least for the moment.

Uno postures up.
Uno looking to sit in guard and control but Rogain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rogain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Uno swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Uno is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rogain is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rogain not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rogain postures up in Uno's guard and throws a big left but Uno blocks it.

Rogain postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Uno is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rogain, into his guard.
Rogain looks gassed!

Rogain keeping moving, preventing Uno from controlling successfully.
Rogain wants to sweep here but Uno controlling him for the moment.
Rogain is looking to stand up but Uno isn't so interested in that idea.
Rogain is trying to keep Uno in close.

Uno drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rogain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rogain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rogain!
Rogain is looking to take a break and control but Uno is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Uno is trying to get back to half guard.
Rogain cracks Uno with a big right hand but Uno just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Uno sneaks back into half guard.
Uno has his hands clasped together around Rogain's back. He's all about the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogain is controlling the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Rogain dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rogain misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Despite being in the dominant position, Joe Rogain just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rogain drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Uno dives on top into guard.

Let's hope that Rogain has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Uno is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rogain is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rogain has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rogain is working for a kimura but Uno is defending it quite comfortably.
Rogain is looking to advance position but Uno won't allow it.

Rogain looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rogain is trying to control. Uno wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rogain seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Uno moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Rogain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Joe Rogain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Rogain wants to finish this one by submission but Uno is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rogain.

Rogain swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Uno is now in Rogain's guard. A big mistake from Rogain there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rogain can do anything to dispel that myth.

Uno has his feet on Rogain's thighs here. He's pushed Rogain off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Rogain screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
