Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Nylons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nylons's choice of entrance music: shane mcmahon theme song. John Nylons is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nylons to the mat! Nylons manages to get full guard.
Sokka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nylons works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sokka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sokka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Nylons is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Nylons really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sokka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nylons is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nylons is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sokka forces his way into half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sokka shoots in and bounces Nylons off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sokka jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nylons manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Sokka goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nylons rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sokka's guard! Nice work there by Nylons!
Sokka is breathing heavily.
Sokka manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sokka is working for a guillotine from mount but Nylons frees his head quite easily.

Nylons wants to control but Sokka is having none of it.
Sokka manages to capitalize on a mistake by Nylons to take his back!
Sokka is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Nylons knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Nylons for a finish.

Sokka is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Nylons has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sokka looking to break Nylons's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Nylons remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sokka will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Sokka is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Nylons is in bad spot here.
Sokka lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Nylons hold on?!
Sokka is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sokka gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sokka gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sokka apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Sokka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nylons circles away.
Sokka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nylons's waist but Nylons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sokka off to one side.
Nylons is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nylons fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sokka sprawls well initially but Nylons persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sokka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nylons keeps working.
