Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johann Schwartz! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwartz feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, Schwartz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Schwartz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schwartz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lee is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lee has escaped and now he's on top! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Schwartz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Schwartz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee. Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee drops back looking for a leg! Schwartz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Schwartz manages to kick Lee off! Lee jumps back into Schwartz's guard. Lee thows a big elbow that misses. Schwartz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Lee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Schwartz has his foot on Lee's thigh. Lee is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Schwartz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lee pulls his head out easily. Schwartz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lee. Schwartz is looking to improve his position.
Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Schwartz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lee not landing any meaningful shots this time. Lee throwing shots but Schwartz is blocking nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwartz takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Johann Schwartz has been cut. Lee cracks the inside of Schwartz's front leg. Lee digs a good hook to Schwartz's body.
Fred Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lee throws a quick inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Schwartz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Lee moves in looking to clinch but Schwartz pushes him off. Lee rushes Schwartz and presses him up against the cage. Schwartz prevents a body shot from Lee. Lee makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Lee swings wildly with an uppercut but Schwartz uses good head movement to avoid it. Lee lands on the inside with an uppercut. A right hand to the body from Lee.
Lee digs a right hand into Schwartz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Schwartz's gas tank. Lee misses with a short punch on the inside. Lee lands a right hand.

Lee lands an elbow just above Schwartz 's eye. Lee lands a body punch in the clinch. Schwartz takes an elbow to the temple. Lee softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Lee working some nice short punches in the clinch. Lee lands an uppercut. A shot in the inside from Lee. Lee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Schwartz.
Lee lands with a right to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Lee trying to land knees to the body.

Lee throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Lee misses the shot to the body. A head kick from Lee lands but Schwartz takes it in his stride. A nice leg kick lands there from Lee. Lee is looking to clinch. Lee scores with a leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lee connects with a high kick. Lee digs a good hook to Schwartz's body.
Lee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Lee scores with a head kick.
Fred Lee is winning the standup battle so far. Lee goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Lee is looking to clinch. Schwartz takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Lee scores with a sloppy right hand. Schwartz should have avoided that one. Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's one minute gone in the round. Schwartz tries to keep at a distance but Lee has taken the fight into the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Good body shot from Lee.

A head punch on the inside from Lee fails to land. Lee creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Schwartz's defenses. Lee pushes Schwartz back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Lee can't find room to land a body shot as Schwartz controls the action.

Johann Schwartz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Schwartz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Schwartz persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing. The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lee throws a combination. Schwartz tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Lee wants to clinch. Schwartz circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schwartz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily. Lee uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Schwartz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lee - the referee stops the clock and Schwartz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lee. Schwartz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schwartz defending well as Lee loads up on a big left hand. A head kick misses from Lee. Schwartz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away. Lee is looking to clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lee scores with a head kick.
Schwartz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Lee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Lee lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Lee dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Johann Schwartz's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Lee lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Lee tests Schwartz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Lee attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Lee throws a body punch but Schwartz moves out of range. Lee moves in looking to clinch but Schwartz pushes him off. Lee throws a head kick but Schwartz moves out of range.
Schwartz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lee did well to prevent Schwartz getting side control. Lee wants to improve his position but Schwartz is controlling well.
Schwartz is looking for a kimura but Lee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schwartz to get the leverage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Schwartz is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Lee still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Lee has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Lee lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Schwartz down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Schwartz to see if he's OK. Lee is working Schwartz over with some ground and pound from side control. Lee working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Schwartz regains half guard. Schwartz is looking to get back to full guard here but Lee has managed to pass to side control instead. Lee lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Schwartz is desperately trying to improve his position but Lee has a good base and remains in mount. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lee in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Schwartz hang on? Lee connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Schwartz regains half guard. Lee is thwarting Schwartz's attempts to control the position. Schwartz tries to get to full guard but Lee has control of the leg. Lee scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Lee throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lee is nestled in close to Schwartz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Schwartz is looking for a sweep. Lee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee winds up and cracks Schwartz with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Schwartz has hold of Lee's hands but Lee slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Schwartz tries to get to full guard but Lee has control of the leg. Lee winds up and cracks Schwartz with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Lee thows a huge punch but Schwartz dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Schwartz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schwartz. Lee is staying active underneath Schwartz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Schwartz stalling away here and it's allowed Lee to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Schwartz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Johann Schwartz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fred Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Lee pulls Schwartz in close to his closed guard and prevents Schwartz from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! Fred Lee showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
