The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinksy leaves Honda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Honda rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pinksy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Honda misses with a series of wild punches.
Pinksy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Pinksy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Honda.
Honda shoots in for a double leg but Pinksy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pinksy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Honda throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pinksy.
Pinksy lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Honda backs up against the cage.
It looks like Piston Honda has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Honda shoots in for a double leg but Pinksy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Drew Pinksy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piston Honda.

and Pinksy counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

so Honda counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Piston Honda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Pinksy counters with a slapping leg kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Pinksy.

and Pinksy counters with a series of strikes. Honda will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Pinksy counters with a three punch combo that has Honda backing up. Honda nods at Pinksy to acknowledge the strikes.
Pinksy lunges at Honda with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Honda's hand.
Pinksy misses with a few strikes there.
Pinksy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Honda's head backwards.
Piston Honda's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Pinksy throws a right hand that Honda ducks under and follows up with a left that Honda also avoids with ease.
Pinksy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pinksy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Pinksy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Honda throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pinksy counters with a one-two to the body.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Piston Honda's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Drew Pinksy!
