Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira has chosen Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become (One-X) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nogueira dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Nogueira's head and hops out.
Silva really is a fat lump.
Nogueira closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Nogueira pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva wants to clinch up but Nogueira keeps it at a distance.
Silva throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Silva tries to clinch there but Nogueira circles away.
Nogueira moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.

Silva wants to stand but Nogueira is controlling the position.

Nogueira is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Nogueira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nogueira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva tries a head kick but it misses.
Nogueira shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Silva with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Nogueira blocks a head kick by Silva.
Nogueira circles away from the clinch attempt
and Nogueira counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Nogueira tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Nogueira trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Nogueira prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
Nogueira is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nogueira is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Nogueira, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nogueira swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva is looking to clinch but Nogueira is avoiding it.

Silva pushes Nogueira up against the cage in a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nogueira jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Nogueira gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nogueira slips a jab and a cross from Silva.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nogueira shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Nogueira darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nogueira is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.
Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.

Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nogueira on the ground.
Nogueira is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nogueira to get the leverage.

Silva kicks off Nogueira and gets to his feet.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.

Silva clinches up against the cage.
Silva connects with a knee to the head.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nogueira shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nogueira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva wants to stand but Nogueira is controlling his posture from full guard.
Nogueira is looking to sinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nogueira's body to avoid the submission. Nogueira has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nogueira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
