Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Enzo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Enzo Souza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Sosa! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Souza looks to score with a jab to the body but Sosa is just out of range. Sosa looks to land a combination but Souza avoids it well. Souza misses with a double jab
and Sosa counters with a nice uppercut. Sosa takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Souza bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Sosa! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Sosa is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sosa tries to land a sweep but no joy. Souza slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Souza passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sosa manages to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Souza prevents Sosa from improving his position. Souza performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Souza looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sosa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Souza in particular looking to stall. Sosa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sosa. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Souza lands a couple of decent looking shots. Souza is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sosa doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Enzo Souza just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sosa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Souza connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sosa lands a jab-cross combination. The fight stays on the outside here - Sosa looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Sosa tries to clinch but Souza moves out of range. Souza misses with a body shot.

letting Souza counter with a right hand. Souza fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Rodrigo Sosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Souza is breathing heavily. Souza checks a leg kick. Souza uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sosa clinches with his opponent.
Souza has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sosa uses from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sosa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Souza avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sosa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Souza is adopting a defensive guard. Now he's in guard on top. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sosa can do anything to dispel that myth. Sosa tries to strike from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sosa actively working from the bottom here. Souza trying to control the pace. Sosa is looking for a sweep. Souza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sosa is looking to control Souza's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sosa avoid being mounted? Souza controlling the pace. Sosa wants to improve his position but Souza is controlling well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Souza is figuring out what he wants to do next. Souza lands with a punch from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Enzo Souza dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Sosa tries for a takedown but Souza circles away easily letting Souza counter with a right hand. Sosa tries to clinch up but Souza circles away and keeps his distance. Sosa throws a series of punches but Souza avoids them all with ease. Enzo Souza is winning the standup battle so far. Souza misses with a few strikes there.
Sosa takes a shot right to the bread basket. Sosa has taken the fight to the clinch.

Souza lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sosa or not. Souza decides to pull guard. Sosa is fighting to break Souza's control of his arms but Souza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Sosa stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Souza throws up his legs and catches Sosa in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Sosa tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Souza! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Enzo Souza!
