Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Relino Cartera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Turbando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turbando has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. Tomas Turbando will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turbando fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cartera swinging wilding here.
Tomas Turbando seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turbando shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cartera pinned against the cage. Cartera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horrible takedown by Turbando or perhaps it was just good defense by Cartera which made him look bad.
Relino Cartera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tomas Turbando.
Turbando shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Turbando misses with a takedown attempt - Cartera sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cartera shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cartera was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Turbando wants to hold on but Cartera pushes him away.

Cartera wants to finish this one by submission but Turbando is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cartera.
Cartera with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cartera stands up from mount. Strange move.
Turbando looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Turbando ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Turbando shoots and misses
and Cartera counters with a single leg into guard. Turbando didn't expect that.

Cartera postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Turbando with a poor takedown
and Cartera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Cartera stays in close to Turbando's body and controls the position.

Cartera passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Turbando!
