Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Duke Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Converse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Duke Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Calvin Converse! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Converse throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A head kick misses from Converse. Richard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Richard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Converse trying to control the position.
Converse looking for a guillotine here but Richard defends easily.

Converse wants to stand but Richard is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard trying to control the position from guard on top but Converse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Richard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Converse is keeping the position for now. Richard passes Converse's left leg - he's now in half guard. Converse looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Richard frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Richard is going olschool here, as he tries to force Converse to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Converse shrugs it off. Richard jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Converse manages to avoid the submission attempt. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Converse manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richard stops Converse from getting back to his feet.
Converse is looking for a sweep. Richard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Richard stops Converse from getting back to his feet.
Richard is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Richard moves nicely into side control. Richard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Converse sneaks back into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duke Richard dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Converse wants to clinch. Richard keeps the fight on the outside. Converse misses with a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Converse shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Richard counters with a shoot takedown. Converse fights it but they end up in guard. Converse is breathing heavily. Richard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Converse has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Richard has managed to get both his arms back between Converse's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard passes Converse's left leg - he's now in half guard. Converse missing with punches from the bottom.
Richard not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Converse is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Richard pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Richard trying to mount his opponent but Converse defends it. Converse scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Richard manages to mount him!
Converse wants to hold on but Richard pushes him away. Richard is going olschool here, as he tries to force Converse to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Converse shrugs it off.

Converse tries to hold on but Richard postures up. Richard is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Converse can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Converse sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Richard tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Converse kicks Richard off and gets back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Converse has his takedown stuffed and Richard counters with a nice double leg into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Converse is trying to keep Richard in close.
Richard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Converse swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Converse is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Converse pushes down on Richard's leg and manages to get into half guard. Richard misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Richard looking for submissions off his back. Richard is looking to improve his position.
Converse wants to stand up but Richard is controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Duke Richard showed his dominance in that final round. Well Richard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
