The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Medina.

It looks like Paulo Fontana has been cut.
Medina looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Fontana fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Medina sprawls well initially but Fontana persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fontana takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Medina tries to get to full guard but Fontana has control of the leg.

Fontana is looking for a kimura but Medina is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fontana to get the leverage.
Medina is trying to stand up here but Fontana is controlling him well.
Fontana has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

It looks like Erick Medina has been cut.

Medina has left one of his arms exposed and Fontana doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Medina screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
