Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Sez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sez comes to the cage accompanied by Let the Beat Build. Hook has chosen Teenage Wasteland/ Baba O Reily as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Simon Sez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Sez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Hook! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sez checks a leg kick. Hook gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hook wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hook has clasped his hands together around Sez's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Hook stands up and we're back to a striking position. Sez dodges the punch combination from Hook.
Hook throws a series of punches but Sez moves out of range. Hook gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hook looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sez keeps control of Hook as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hook gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sez.
Sez tries for a takedown but Hook manages to get underhooks.
Hook tries to break free but Sez pushes him back against the cage. Hook pulls guard effortlessly. Sez tries to free his leg and advance position but Hook is retaining full guard. Hook wants to get back to his feet but Sez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sez is standing up over Hook. Hook looks to escape but Sez dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sez prevents Hook from escaping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hook explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Hook closes the distance and clinches up with Sez, looking for a takedown. Hook pushes Sez against the cage but Sez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hook swings for the body but Sez moves out of range.
Hook clinches up with Sez and pushes him back against the cage. Sez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hook smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Sez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hook tries to escape but Sez is in control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sez working the ground and pound but Hook is defending the strikes. Hook is trying to buck Sez off. Sez misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hook is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Sez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hook knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sez is breathing heavily. Hook is trying to buck Sez off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hook, who protects the arm well. Hook is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sez has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hook explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Hook dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hook darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Sez has his foot on Hook's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hook works his way back into a safe position though. Hook stands up from Sez's guard - Hook perhaps looking for a knockout. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hook lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hook lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hook darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hook tries to stand and escape but Sez is controlling the position. Hook stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Hook clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hook takes the fight into the clinch. Hook manages to break the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hook. Hook lunges at Sez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sez's hand. Hook lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hook fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hook moves into the clinch. Hook's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hook misses with a head kick.
Hook closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sez to the mat! Sez manages to get full guard. Sez is looking for a triangle here but Hook uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hook decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sez to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hook clinches up against the cage. Hook jumps into guard, dragging Sez to the mat.
Hook is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sez is controlling him. Hook manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Simon Sez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sez checks a leg kick. Sez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hook counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Sez! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Hook showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Hook throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sez. Hook looks to land a body kick but Sez moved away. Hook closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Thomas Hook has got the better of the ground game so far. Hook stands up and beckons Sez to his feet. Hook feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hook is looking to stand up but Sez won't let him. Sez is looking for a triangle but Hook pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hook gets to his feet - Sez follows without any prompting. Hook displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Sez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Hook closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sez did well to prevent Hook getting side control. Hook stands up from half guard. Hook looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hook will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hook throws a sloppy head kick and Sez moves out of range easily. Hook motions for Sez to come forward. Hook throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sez with a lazy takedown attempt and Hook counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sez won't be happy with that.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sez is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hook stands up and we're back to a striking position. Thomas Hook is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hook lands with a kick to the temple. Sez shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Hook scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hook throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sez was covering up waiting for the punch and Hook finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hook stands up from Sez's guard - Hook perhaps looking for a knockout. Hook misses with a low kick. Hook scores with a push kick. Simon Sez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hook gets a takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Hook comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hook has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
