The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taalasmaa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Taalasmaa lands in his opponent's guard.
Silviera wants to sweep but no luck.
Taalasmaa is looking to stand up but Silviera won't let him.
Silviera is adopting a defensive guard.
Taalasmaa wants to get up but he can't break Silviera's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Taalasmaa trying to control the position from guard on top but Silviera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Taalasmaa tries to stand and escape but Silviera is controlling the position.

Silviera wants to control the position but Taalasmaa says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Silviera has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taalasmaa is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Silviera manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Silviera has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Taalasmaa doesn't defend quickly enough and Silviera has managed to lock this one up! Can Taalasmaa escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Silviera on a fantastic submission victory.
