Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junior Tubarao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Tubarao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Logan Cane!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Tubarao or perhaps it was just good defense by Cane which made him look bad.
Tubarao doesn't manage to clinch there - Cane circles away.
Cane misses with a two punch combination.

Cane shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Cane is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Tubarao trying to control from the bottom.

Cane looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cane prevents Tubarao from standing back up.

Cane is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Tubarao has managed to free his arm - good work.

Cane is trying to work for a kimura but Tubarao is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cane is pressing down on Tubarao's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tubarao is holding on for now.
Tubarao looks like he's trying to stand up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Cane gets caught flat footed, as Tubarao shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tubarao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cane looks gassed!
Cane has momentary wrist control but Tubarao slips an elbow through the middle.
Tubarao trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tubarao makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Cane wants to sweep here but Tubarao controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tubarao lands a couple of elbows.
Tubarao with a nice head shot there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cane tries for a takedown but Tubarao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Junior Tubarao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tubarao pushes Cane up against the cage in a clinch.
Tubarao is trying to drag Cane to the mat but Cane just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tubarao tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Tubarao. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tubarao prevents the takedown attempt.

Tubarao has hold of one of Cane's legs. Cane is fighting the takedown attempt but Tubarao gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Tubarao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tubarao with a nice head shot there.
Tubarao has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tubarao with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Tubarao drops back looking for a leg! Cane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cane manages to kick Tubarao off! Tubarao jumps back into Cane's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cane escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tubarao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tubarao stands up from Cane's guard - Tubarao perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cane scores with a hook to the body. Tubarao takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Tubarao misses with a takedown attempt

and Cane counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tubarao won't be happy with that.
Tubarao is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Cane stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tubarao doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Cane counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cane tries to free his leg and advance position but Tubarao is retaining full guard.
Cane throws a big right hand that misses.

Cane slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Cane is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Tubarao is trying to escape and Cane transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Tubarao is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cane! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Logan Cane!
