Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rab McVie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jaques gerard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). jaques gerard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McVie shoots in for a double leg but gerard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

McVie rushes gerard and presses him up against the cage.

McVie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McVie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but gerard avoids it really well and circles away.
McVie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says gerard as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rab McVie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McVie dives in and grabs gerard's left leg, looking for a takedown. gerard pushes down on McVie's head and hops out.
McVie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts gerard as he jumps to the side.
The fight stays on the outside here - gerard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McVie connects with a nice short shot to gerard's temple.

That's time! McVie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and gerard counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rab McVie.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McVie, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
