Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between mike bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Odd Ivarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bob fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ivarov avoids it really well and circles away.

and bob counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
bob perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ivarov is looking for a sweep. bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
bob is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Ivarov keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Ivarov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. bob is working away from the top position though.
Ivarov works his way to full guard. Good work.

Ivarov has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
bob drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and bob jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ivarov is pulling down on bob's head. It's preventing any offense from bob, at least for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

bob really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
bob stands up and beckons Ivarov to his feet.
Ivarov misses with a takedown
and bob counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
bob is breathing heavily.
Ivarov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and bob counters with a shoot takedown. Ivarov fights it but they end up in guard.
mike bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Odd Ivarov.
bob wants to stand but Ivarov is controlling his posture from full guard.
Ivarov pulls bob in close to prevent any damage.

Ivarov manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
bob is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
bob is in a horrible position here. Ivarov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ivarov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ivarov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
bob tries to roll over but Ivarov keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ivarov in particular looking to stall.
Despite being in the dominant position, Odd Ivarov just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
bob tries to land a front kick but Ivarov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ivarov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches bob napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ivarov stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ivarov lands with a nice combination. bob backs away looking to recover.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ivarov misses with a takedown attempt
and bob decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ivarov's guard.
mike bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Ivarov wants to get back to his feet but bob is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
bob has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

bob knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ivarov on the ground.

Ivarov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control bob kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
bob is posturing up here but Ivarov has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! bob tries to roll out but it's too tight and bob has to tap! Slick submission there by Ivarov!
