Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jules Aguafresca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aja Usw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jules Aguafresca had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usw displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aguafresca throws out the jab.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Aguafresca scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Usw moves out of range as Aguafresca strikes.
Usw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguafresca is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Usw drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Usw jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Aguafresca is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Aguafresca works his foot free and advances to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aguafresca is trying to control the action in half guard but Usw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Usw has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aguafresca is working away from the top position though.
Aguafresca has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Aguafresca wants to control the pace but Usw is squirming around nicely.
Aguafresca jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Usw is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Usw and Aguafresca has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Aguafresca goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Usw has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Aguafresca but great work by Usw.

Aguafresca tries to bench press Usw off him but Usw keeps the position.
Usw postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Usw has an Americana. Aguafresca didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Usw is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Usw hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
