Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Santos misses with a takedown attempt - Safra sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Safra showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Santos.
Santos throws out a loose jab but Safra uses good head movement to avoid it.

Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Safra swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Safra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

I looks like Safra might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Safra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Oh but Santos is tightening it up a little... Safra has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Safra reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Safra taps out! nice BJJ there by Santos!
