Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lyjoto Maskida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles DAvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maskida comes to the cage accompanied by Bullet For My Valentine - Tears Don't Fall. DAvis has chosen Miles DAvis - someday my prince will come as his entrance music. Lyjoto Maskida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miles DAvis! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Maskida misses. Maskida throws a big shot that misses. DAvis ducks under a wild hook from Maskida. DAvis ducks under a wild hook from Maskida. DAvis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Maskida is trying to defend but DAvis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Maskida looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. DAvis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A big left from Maskida misses. Maskida fakes high and swings low for a body shot but DAvis manages to avoid it. That's two minutes gone in the round. DAvis is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. I looks like DAvis might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. DAvis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maskida sees it coming and defends easily. Maskida is pressing down on DAvis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. DAvis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maskida has his foot on DAvis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DAvis works his way back into a safe position though. Maskida is looking for a triangle but DAvis pushes his legs off easily.
Maskida is breathing heavily. DAvis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DAvis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
DAvis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. DAvis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. DAvis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. DAvis moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Maskida is looking to reverse the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. DAvis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. DAvis trying to control the action but Maskida is working from the bottom. Maskida manages to get back to half guard. Maskida actively working from the bottom here. Maskida looking for submissions from an awkward position here. DAvis is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Maskida is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
