PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jos Jebb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and pile driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). driver has chosen my way as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Jebb.
driver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
driver blocks a jab.
Jebb throws a combination that misses
enabling driver to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Jos Jebb has been cut.
Jebb has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jebb there as he acknowledges the shot.
driver wants to clinch.
Jebb moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jebb swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
driver doesn't manage to clinch there - Jebb circles away.
Jebb walks into a jab.
Jebb works over driver's head and body with a nice combination.
driver fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jebb throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and driver counters with a series of strikes that sends Jebb to the canvas! driver follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Jebb is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
driver with a flurry of punches that miss.
Oh Jebb is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jebb is looking to stand up but driver isn't so interested in that idea.
Jebb seems to have got his legs back now.
Jebb trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

driver has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
driver passes Jebb's left leg - he's now in half guard.
driver scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Jebb keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
driver looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jebb with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
driver is looking to advance position but Jebb won't allow it.
Jebb wants to get back to his feet.
driver throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jebb is trying to stand back up but driver is controlling him
driver missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
driver seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
driver trying to mount his opponent but Jebb defends it.
driver is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

driver thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jebb's head.
driver wants to pass to mount but Jebb is defending the position.
driver wants to take a breather but Jebb is having none of it.
driver throwing shots but Jebb is blocking nicely.
driver has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Jebb is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
driver fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
driver breaks from Jebb's wrist control and lands an elbow.
You get the feeling that Jebb really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jebb is breathing heavily.
driver lands a big elbow.

Jos Jebb's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Jeez, Jos Jebb's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jos Jebb's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
