Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Ziskie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendall Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendall Alves is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phillip Ziskie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kendall Alves!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Alves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Alves is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ziskie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ziskie tries to escape but Alves is in control.
Alves moves into full mount!

Alves is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ziskie has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Alves takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ziskie is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alves jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ziskie manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Alves is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ziskie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Alves swings around for an armbar but Ziskie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Alves's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ziskie stands up from Alves's guard - Ziskie perhaps looking for a knockout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Alves.
Ziskie is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Alves is controlling him well.
Alves taking a break here but Ziskie is having none of it and regains half guard.

Alves is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alves trying to control the action but Ziskie is working from the bottom.
Ziskie is looking to escape.

Alves looking for a submission but Ziskie manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Alves looking to sit in guard and control but Ziskie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ziskie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alves is keeping the position for now.
Alves looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Alves looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kendall Alves dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Alves displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ziskie throws out the jab.
Alves fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Ziskie as Alves shoots in.
Ziskie stuffs the takedown attempt from Alves. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.
Phillip Ziskie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendall Alves.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt.
Alves closes the distance and clinches up with Ziskie, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes Ziskie against the cage but Ziskie circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ziskie sizes up Alves with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Alves throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ziskie's waist but Ziskie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alves off to one side.
Ziskie works Alves's body with a nice hook.
Alves takes one to the chin there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ziskie misses with an uppercut. Alves saw that one coming.
Alves is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ziskie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Ziskie gets a clinch.

Ziskie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ziskie cracks Alves with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Alves tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ziskie pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Alves is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phillip Ziskie!
